Vision
A Cambodia where the constitutional and international guarantee of environmental, human and labour rights and civic freedoms are fully guaranteed in both law and practice, leading to tangible improvements in people’s lives – especially for marginalized communities. We envision a society in which economic development does not come at the cost of fundamental environmental, human and labour rights and the law itself becomes a living instrument of positive change.
Mission
We have a civic mission to promote and protect human and labour rights, fundamental freedoms, especially freedom of expression and the press, corporate accountability and environmental justice in Cambodia and broader region of Southeast Asia where the contexts are relevant.
We hold state and corporate actors accountable for their actions, providing holistic support — including pro bono legal assistance — to human and environmental rights defenders and journalists, seeking to bridge the gap between rights guaranteed on paper and rights enjoyed in practice.
Through timely and evidence-based driven research and policy work, we raise awareness of the most pressing issues impacting Cambodians. Through our policy work we strive for legal and policy reforms that advance corporate accountability, uphold the rule of law and more effectively safeguard the rights of marginalized communities.

Our culture and values as an organization are grounded in equity, inclusion, and justice.
We work hand-in-hand with grassroots communities including Indigenous Peoples, respecting their knowledge and priorities. We recognize that the people facing human rights abuses and/or environmental harm are not just beneficiaries but drivers of change, and our role is to support and amplify their efforts. We actively work to dismantle systemic barriers to justice and foster a safe, inclusive space where everyone can thrive. Just as we hold state actors and corporations accountable, we hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
